3 – On the Investigation of Spiritual Beliefs and Personality Characteristics of Nurses in the City of Tehran

The current research sought to investigate the relationship between spiritual beliefs and personality characteristics NEO-PI-R of the nurses in Tehran in the year. The research method was descriptive correlational. The statistical population consisted of all nurses of Tehran, out of whom a sample of104 people was selected through in access method and all these people 4esponded to the Allport Orientation Questionnaire and NEO-PI-R questionnaire. The results of Pearson correlation test for the main hypothesis of the research suggested that there was a significant relation between spiritual beliefs and personality characteristics of nurses in Tehran. There was a significant relation between spiritual beliefs and extroversion as well. Spiritual beliefs and conscientiousness were also found to be related; however, no significant relation was found between spiritual beliefs and neuroticism and between spiritual beliefs and openness to experience and between spiritual beliefs and agreeableness.
